Have you ever noticed that, there are hundreds of sites offering hotel booking online and every one of those sites are claiming to give you the best hotel deals? Some of those sites are reliable and have good reputation among travellers. But I often find it difficult to compare the hotel deals from each of these sites to find the best one. I mean, you have to open a new explorer window (or a tab for firefox users) for each hotel booking site. Then go through all the listed hotels in each site and then open everyone of those hotels and compare. It takes hours to search the hotels and find the best hotel deal. If you have ever faced a similar situation, you know the pain, especially if you are looking for last minute hotel booking. I got a solution for this problem. Use the nifty search tool below from Hotels Combined to search and find the best hotels for you in a minute.
Search & Compare Hotels
You can also type in the name of the city where you want search the hotels.
If you know the hotel name you can search by the Hotel name to find the cheapest rates for that hotel offered by the online booking sites. You also have the option of searching hotels by country. Hope this helps.
I would like to show you some of the Koh Samui photos which I took during my trip to the Samui Islands. Sorry for keeping you guys waiting. But after I wrote about the attractions in Koh Samui it took me couple of days to find and resize these Koh Samui photos. Meanwhile I had to go on a personal trip and I was abroad almost for a month. Now I am back and here are those Koh Samui pictures.

I hope you you liked my photos. Some of the photos got reduced in picture quality when I resized them. Hope they are not too bad. I guess you can visit Koh Samui and capture the ravishing beauty of Samui by yourself.
The major attraction of Koh Samui is ofcourse the white sandy beaches. This beautiful island got plenty of long lovely beaches with clear water. You can relax on the beach, swim in the cool sea and take a sun bath on the white sandy beaches. If you want to explore more, you can enjoy snorkeling. For more adventurous guys, Koh Samui and its nearby islands are famous for diving. With stunning coral reefs and plenty of beautiful fishes Koh Samui is an ideal place to enjoy the beauty of the sea.
Other major attractions in Koh Samui are Water falls, Temples, Snake Farms, Monkey Theatre, Butterfly garden and various scenic view points. Samui island also offers you excellent sea food and fun filled night life. In short Koh Samui is a tourist’s paradise.
Koh Samui is the third largest island in Thailand behind Phuket and Koh Chang. Koh Samui lies in the gulf of Thailand towards the southern part of Thailand. In thai, Koh means island. So Samui island is called Koh Samui in Thai. The nearest city in main land is Surath Thani. The map of Thailand will give you an approximate idea about the position of Koh Samui in the gulf of Thailand.
Area of Koh Samui is about 250 square km’s and it is located approximately 750 km south of Bangkok. The population in Samui island is around 50,000. I have collected these information as a part of my trip to Koh Samui.
I have been thinking of visiting Koh Samui for a very long time. So this weekend I have decided to have a trip to Koh Samui. I know that Koh Samui Trip can be really expensive if I go in peak season. But the peak tourist season just ended and prices dropped at Koh Samui at this time of the year. Koh Samui is one of the most popular island destinations in Asia which attracts tourists from around the world. Like Krabi and Phuket, Koh Samui is famous for white sandy beaches and clear blue sea.
Before I go to Koh Samui, I collected the following information to get the most out of my trip.
Location and map of Koh Samui
Major attractions of Koh Samui
How to reach Koh Samui and back
Accommodation in Koh Samui. Hotels, resorts and villas.
Bangkok Air is operating daily flights from Bangkok to Koh Samui. But when I checked none of flights at my convenient time got seats available. Other options were train and bus. The train did not suit my schedule and my friends did not want to go by bus. So we decided to drive my car to Koh Samui. Hope we will have a pleasant journey.
A while ago I wrote a post called Seo Bangkok which was about the search engine optimization I have been trying to do here in Thailand. At the time of writing that post the page rank of Bangkokbaby was PR1. But later after Google completed its update Bangkokbaby got PR4. Bangkok Boy (Sunny) wanted to learn more about search engine optimization and was actively browsing through webmaster boards like Digital Point and came across a post from SEO Bangkok about having a meeting at Bangkok on search engine optimization. So here is what Sunny says about the seo meeting.
To make the story short, we had our first meeting on search engine optimization here in Thailand at Star Bucks, Thanon Lang Suan at Bangkok. To my pleasant surprise there were about 15 people and many of them were Thai webmasters. Everyone looked pretty happy. This meeting was more of getting to know each other than a technical one. But I could see the Thai webmasters from Seobangkok.com giving some valuable tips to his fellow webmasters. I met William from amwso.com who explained the merits of affiliate marketing over google adsense. I could also here, some of my western webmaster friends sharing their experiences about search engine optimization and google adsense.
Photos from Bangkok Seo Meet
Big thanks to the seoBangkok team for organizing the meeting. I hope we will have more such meetings on search engine optimization in Thailand in the near future.

Khao Yai national park is famous for its natural beauty and a variety of flora and fauna. It is the oldest national park in Thailand. Khao Yai is also the second largest national park in Thailand. Khao Yai lies mainly in Nakhorn Ratchsiama (Khorat) province whish is located approximately 260 kilometers northeast of Bangkok. The Khao Yai national park extends across three more provinces in Thailand. They are Saraburi, Nakhon Nayok and Prachinburi. Khao Yai attarcts visitors who love natural forests, waterfalls and plants.
Climate at Khao Yai
The weather at Khao Yai is pleasant compared to many other parts of Thailand. Khao Yai mainly got three seasons, the rainy season, winter and the summer.
During the rainy season the temperatures at Khao Yai during day time is about 27° C. Immediately after the rainy season the flowers and fauna in Khao Yai flourishes into a stunning beauty. The rainy season starts from May and last till October at Khao Yai.
During November to February it is winter in Thailand. I would say late December to February is the best time to visit Khao Yai. During this time of the year Khao Yai weather is cool with clear sky whish is best for hiking. You can also capture stunning sunsets during this time at Khao Yai. It can get real cold the nights at Khao Yai during this time when the temperature drop upto 10° C.
Even summer season is fine to visit to Khao Yai since the temperature at Khao Yai doesn’t get hot like Bangkok. The average temperature at Khao Yai during March to May could be around 27° C. If you have tired sitting at your Bangkok Hotel room then Khao Yai is just a couple of hours away.
I hope many of you have enjoyed the Krabi Photos which I posted the other day. I will soon post some photos I took from Khao Yai.

Today is Valentine’s Day. Bangkok Baby loves to wish all of you a very happy Valentine’s day. May your love life be wonderful with full of joy and happiness. Most you must be knowing the story behind Valentine’s Day. For those doesn’t know, let me briefly put it here.
The day February 14th is named after a Christian priest named Valentine. During the third century the Roman Emperor Claudius II decided that the young men in his army shouldn’t get married. He believed that married men don’t make good soldiers. Because of the fear most people accepted the emperor’s order. But the christian priest Father Valentine believed in love and marriage and he secretly performed marriages between young couples. When Emperor Claudius II came to know about this he became furious and put Father Valentine in jail. From there he was sentenced to death. Lovers around the world celebrate Valentine’s Day in rememberance of the martyr priest who believed in love.
Valentine’s Day Celebration in Thailand
In Thailand lovers around the country exchanged gifts and flowers. The girls were mainly shopping for dolls and roses while the boys shopped for dresses and electronic gadgets. This year 665 couples got married on Valentine’s Day at Bang Rak district. Around 12 couples got married under sea water in Trang. But the highlight of the day was the marriage between Khun.Mak Charoensuk, and Khun.Ui. The Bride Ui was 86 and the groom Mak Charoensuk was 88, when they walked together to register their marriage among the other 34 couples at Nakhon Ratchasima in Thailand on Valentine’s Day. What a way to celebrate the Valentine’s Day!
